Stefan Schwitter
Founder Zenmove
A visionary on the path to change.
He is the creative mind behind Zenmove and has the vision to (r)evolutionize the way we train and perceive ourselves.
At the young age of 10, Stefan Schwitter was already confronted with the
essential questions:
- Who am I?
- What are my tasks here (in this life)?
Two years later, he had only two visions: Either he would become a professional wrestler in the USA in this life or a Buddhist monk in Asia.
After a stay in a monastery and various correspondence with Buddhist monks, he decided with a heavy heart to pursue a career in wrestling – which was still a long way off.
School and training had to be done first.
10 years of discipline and (almost) daily training routines were to pay off.
He started his career as a wrestler in Austria at the age of 20, emigrated to Germany two years later and then moved on to the USA.
Proving himself as a “stranger” on a daily basis and great assertiveness were just some of the hurdles on this rocky road.
The big dream became reality.
This adventurous journey lasted a full seven years, but towards the end it brought with it great physical and mental challenges, as well as injuries.
After a final tour of the USA, he decided – pragmatically as he is – to give up his role as a wrestler in order to devote himself to ZEN teaching and meditation.
From “noise” to pure silence.
His passion for personal development and mindfulness led him to the Zen monastery, where he found valuable and groundbreaking answers for his new path.
After his stay, he founded his own company, which led to today’s Zenmove.
In 2022 and 2023, he proved to himself what this unique method, which has continued to evolve over the years, can open up.
Within 1.5 years, he achieved four Guinness World Records in Kettlebell Swing.
A sport in which elite military personnel like to compete physically and mentally.
Stefan embodies the essence of a true athlete and is a master at pushing boundaries.
He also passes on his methods to the Swiss national ice hockey team as a performance coach.
They won the silver medal at the 2024 World Championships in Prague.
“It’s time to create a community where movement is seen not just as a physical activity, but as a tool to promote mental health and foster wellbeing, mindfulness and personal growth.”
